Ms. Howe will present her new animal paintings in an exhibition titled, Live Animals.

Noted painter April Gornick has written a brief essay to accompany the exhibition in which she says that Catherine Howe “has a fabulous ability to portray animals. In the small universes of her paintings, animals eat, sniff, shit and burrow in a way that feels true, tender and matter-of-fact.”
