Dan Thompson Adjunct faculty, Painting and Drawing, received his BFA from the Corcoran School of Art and his MFA from the New York Academy of Art, and also studied at the Water Street Atelier and the Art Students League. He has received numerous awards including the Grand Prize for Best of Show at the American Society of Portrait Artists’ International Competition, 2001, Honors Award, Portrait Society of America, 2000, Walter Erlebacher Award, New York Academy of Art, 1999, and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, 1997 and 2001. He has exhibited widely and is currently represented by the Eleanor Ettinger Gallery, New York, Century Gallery, Alexandria, Virginia, and the Morseburg Galleries, Los Angeles. |
