Adjunct faculty, Painting, received his BFA fromthe University of Colorado and has been a working artist in NewYork City since then, also teaching drawing and painting both privately and at the 92nd St. Y, School of Visual Arts, and Cooper Union. He has had numerous solo shows, in New York at Paulo Salvador Gallery, Penine HartGallery, and NicholasDavies Gallery, and in Los Angeles at Koplin Gallery.His many group shows include the inaugural show for the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art,The GreyArtGallery,NewYork, andmost recently with DFN gallery in New York. Among his awards are Change Inc., ArtMatters, and Yaddo, Ucross andMacDowell Fellowships.He also traveled extensively throughout Europe on a Glorious Foods Artists Grant. Reviews of his work have appeared in The NewYorker, ARTnews and Art and Antiques.
